…and thanks also to Friern Barnet School for inviting me in to talk this week. I really enjoyed my afternoon there and want to thank Mr Back for organising the trip, plus the year sevens, eights and nines who were such a great audience!
I had a fantastic time at Queen Elizabeth’s Boys School in north London yesterday. Huge thanks to staff and pupils there, who made me feel so welcome.
I’m off to Friern Barnet school tomorrow…looking forward to it!
Cracks has been shortlisted for the Hampshire Book Award. I’m very chuffed about this because I grew up in Hampshire! It’s an honour to be on the shortlist with these fantastic authors.
All Fall Down by Sally Nicholls
Burn Mark by Laura Powell
Department 19 by Will Hill
Gladiator by Simon Scarrow
My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece by Annabel Pitcher

I’m writing a sequel to Cracks, which will be published by Piccadilly Press in 2014.
The title is Fragments and the story will start where Cracks left off, told from Kyla’s point of view. Am very excited!
